What an extravaganza!! Four days at Equitana is certainly an exhausting experience, but we had a fantastic time. Much helped along by our friends Krissie and Heath Harris from Hawksbury River Saddle Co. who very kindly shared their trade stand with us. It was great to be showcasing Australian brands at Equitana.
We brought with us the first garments of the summer ’17 collection and we were excited to see how horse enthusiasts would receive Emcee Apparel outside of the Showjumping and Eventing arenas. It was wonderful to see competitors from all disciplines from campdrafting to driving to reining loving our collection.
In other news our latest collection has just landed! We have worked really hard on this range and think we have put together a really fantastic line of riding shirts. This season, as always, we focused on finding really interesting, comfortable and stylish fabrics that will wear well and keep the riders cool in the hot summer. We have also added a few little extras and changed a few styles up as well as re vamping some of our old favourites. We cant wait to release them at the next few shows, and make sure you keep an eye online because they will be coming very soon!!
We have arrived home from the Aquis Showjumping Classic and WOW, what a show! Two weeks of showjumping in the stunning Gold Coast hinterland had us very entertained while sitting up on the hill at the Emcee Apparel trade stand with a stunning view of not only the competition, but also the incredible backdrop it was set in. I must say a big congratulations to Michelle and Pete for making this happen, and Kelly and Michael and the whole team for allowing us to once again come to this amazing venue.
We were excited to unveil a number of new styles, as well as our new jacket collection which we have been working on for some time. It has been almost 8 months in the making and we are very pleased with the results, it was a bit warm in QLD to bring them all out but once the colder weather hits well be bringing them to all the shows!
Another piece of exciting news from the Elysian Fields show was our QLD sponsored rider Robert Moffatt won the first qualifier for the Gold tour on his fantastic horse Viduka. We are proud to have an ambassador like Robert on out team.
We would like to thank everyone for their continued support. We love getting feedback about our products and look forward to seeing everyone at the next show.
Emcee Apparel and Matrix Equestrian were at the Equine Lifestyle Festival this weekend. What an incredible event!
We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw how the Hawkesbury Showgrounds had transformed into an international standard arena. The white tents and green grass really helped to create a buzzing atmosphere and it was easy to see how excited all the competitors and trade stall holders were about having an event of this caliber in the Hawkesbury. It was a huge shame the rain set in to dampen the weekend, leaving us all trudging through mud but the competition went on and in spectacular form.
We were excited to be bringing a number of new styles and colours to this show, we fast tracked them from the summer collection we are currently developing (which should be here by December) so that we could showcase a sneak peek of what is to come. Again it was very exciting to see so many of our shirts in the arena as well as seeing the new range in action with a number of competitors deciding to wear their new Emcee Apparel riding wear right away.
The Emcee Apparel sponsored team had a great weekend. On Friday, Charlie Kinder came 2nd in the Junior class on Merry, and Billie Kinder won the 1m on Spotlight. On Saturday Maverick Miles won the first Young Rider class on Emcee Gwynedd and was second on Twins Landsong among a tough field of top Young Riders. Billie continued her form winning the 1.05m open class and second in the 1.10m. By Sunday the ground was very wet, with many competitors staying home but Maverick braved the wet weather, and felt for the sake of the event, he needed to start in the young rider final.
It was a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful concept. The Kevin Hansen and his team clearly put in a lot of effort to make this show as spectacular as possible. When we had time to slip away from the trade stand we had a lot of fun watching all of the different attractions, from the bison campdraft to the Horseball tournament. We, and I’m sure everyone else who attended the Equine Lifestyle Festival, look forward with anticipation to next years event.
Last weekend Matrix Equestrian and Emcee Apparel visited the Sydney Showjumping Club’s rescheduled winter championships. The show had a picnic day atmosphere and, as always, was a beautiful, well run event with the SSJC grounds looking picture perfect.
As a special prize for this show, we decided to award a $100 gift voucher to anyone who wins a Matrix Equestrian or Emcee Apparel sponsored event while wearing an Emcee Apparel riding shirt. It was great to spot so many riders wearing our shirts, and especially exciting to be able to award not only first place in the Emcee Apparel 1.20 under 20 points class to Ben Blay, but also, because he was wearing his Emcee Apparel Lido, the gift voucher.
On Sunday we were proud to be the sponsors of the Grand Prix class. After a very exciting 4 horse jump off between Kelly Slater, Sharon Slater, Nick Carraro and Vicky Roycroft, where no rails fell, Vicky came out on top to take the win. Vicky was also wearing one of our shirts (the mandarin fling, which is turning out to be a very lucky shirt) so she also received the $100 voucher.
We are so proud to be able to support such a wonderful show and would like to thank everyone who came and visited us at the trade stand over the weekend. We are currently at the NSW State Dressage Championships, so if you are there make sure you come and say hi.
Emcee Apparel was excited to escape the cold Sydney weather and take our trade stand to some shows in Queensland this month. We travelled to the Glen Haven Park Sunshine Tour show run by the Hamood family in Kilcoy. This was a beautiful, well run show and it certainly provided the shunshine! We were lucky enough to have a spot right next to arena one with a fantastic view of the competition.
Our riding apparel was well received by the Queenslanders, and we were very pleased to see so many riders embracing our bright colours and unique fabrics. A special congratulations to a number of competitors who’s shirts proved to be lucky at Kilcoy, including Chloe Hughes who won the Bronze Tour second qualifier wearing her brand new Navy Bambi, and Christy Gripske who won the Amateur championship in her navy Latino.
It was also exciting to watch Emcee Apparel sponsored rider Robert Moffatt win the prestigious David Overton Memorial Future Stars on board the super stallion Bellhaven Carouse. Robert is a top rider based in Millmerran, QLD who has competed at the top level of showjumping for many years and has been part of our Emcee Apparel sponsored team since we launched in May. We are very lucky and excited to have him on our team.
We also went to the Gatton World cup show where once again Queensland turned on the beautiful weather and another wonderful show. The 4 day event had some very exciting competition with a few more riders finding out how lucky their new Emcee Apparel shirts were including Mathew Whalley, Tyrone Latham and special congratulations to Gabby Kuna who won the hotly contested Mini Prix.
